Is Go Fish pairs or fours?
Play like standard Go-Fish except that pairs (not sets of 4) count. The usual rule for Go Fish is for any pairs you form to be placed face up on the table. If you want to get a card of a particular rank, you need to hold it in your hand at all times.
If you have a pair of cards of the same rank but different colors, they are considered to be of different ranks. For example, if a player has a black and a red pair, the black card is considered a lower rank than the red card, and vice versa.
The same is true for cards with different numbers of ranks, such as a white and black pair or a blue and green pair. A player can only have one card in his or her hand of each rank at any given time, regardless of how many cards he or she has in the deck.
How many cards do you have to have to lay down in Go Fish?
Get everybody to deal six cards. The draw pile can be formed by placing the remaining cards in the center of the table. If you are left of the dealer, you play first.
If you have four matching cards, you can lay them on top of each other. • Each player draws a card from the deck and places it face down in front of him or her. The player who has the most cards at the end of this round is the winner.
Do you have to have 7 cards at all times in Go Fish?

How do you break a tie in go fish?
The number of books in Go Fish could be tied by two players. If you can break the tie by having those two players play again, you can make it so that the first player to win three books wins the game.
If you have more books than the other player, then you win by a tiebreaker. For example, if one player has two books and the second has one book, that player wins if they both have at least one more book than their opponent.
