Wolves have a much more varied diet than was previously thought, according to researchers in northern Minnesota. They hunt deer, but also eat caribou, elk, moose, and other animals. The study, published in the Journal of Wildlife Management, is the first of its kind in North America. The world’s largest freshwater catfish, which can grow up to 10 feet in length, has been discovered off the coast of California.
It is believed to be the largest fish ever caught in a single catch, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The fish was caught by a team of researchers from the University of Southern California and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) in San Clemente, California, on May 22.
“This is a very exciting find,” said NOAA Fisheries biologist and co-author of the paper, Dr. David R. Smith. He added that the fish is likely a new species, as it has not been seen in California in more than a decade.

Since many of these animals are larger than wolves, the only way wolves can catch them is to live and hunt in groups. Wolves are very territorial and will defend their territory against other wolves.
If a wolf attacks another wolf, it will fight until one of the wolves is dead or the other wolf is injured. The injured wolf will then retreat to its territory and wait for the next wolf to attack it. This is called a “fight-to-the-death” situation. Once the wounded wolf has retreated to his territory, he will return to the fight and try to kill the remaining wolf. In this way, wolves will kill each other until only one wolf remains.
