Any person who engages in any business for profit involving fish shall obtain a Commercial Fish Business license (FGC §8030).
For the remainder of the calendar year, a Commercial Fish Business license is valid from January 1 through December 31, inclusive, or if issued after the beginning of that term. (b) A person shall not engage in a commercial fish business unless he or she has obtained a license from the Department of Fish and Wildlife (DFW) to do so.
The license shall be valid for a period of one year from its date of issuance. Any person whose license has been suspended or revoked may apply to the Secretary of State for reinstatement of his or her license within 30 days of its suspension or revocation. Upon receipt of such an application, the secretary shall issue a new license to such person.
