Travelers are not allowed to bring fresh, dried, and canned meats, dehydrated soup mixes, and meat products from most foreign countries under the Meat and Animal Products Regulations of the United State Department of Agriculture. If meat is to be used in a product, it needs to be labeled with the name of the country of origin.
If you are traveling to the United States from a country that is not on the list of prohibited countries, you may be able to bring in certain types of meat, such as beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, or fish. USDA does not allow the importation of fresh or frozen meat from any country other than those listed above.
