If a squirrel is trying to steal your food, it will probably try to climb up on the bag, but if you put it in a safe place, like a cupboard or under a bed, that’s a good place to hide it until you’re ready to feed it again. Don’t leave food out for long periods of time.

Can squirrels climb shepherds hook?
